We had a wonderful experience getting Buzz from Ian! He was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. It was clear how much care and love goes into raising the puppies, and we felt very supported from start to finish. We’re so grateful to Ian for bringing our little Buzz into our lives! 🐾❤️

I got my puppy (Teddy) from Ian at Perfect puppy ranch mid July 2026. The whole experience was great and Teddy is an awesome dog. The off grid property where Ian breeds the puppies is a beautiful spot to bring up healthy and socialized dogs. Teddy was basically potty and leash trained and would understand the words yes and no, I was very impressed. I will and I have recommended people in my circle looking into getting a Golden Retriever The perfect puppy ranch.

Amazing breeder! Our new puppy is healthy, happy and confident. Ian was wonderful to deal with - you can tell how much thought and love he puts into breeding these pups. Thank you Ian!!

Ian is top drawer as a person and a dog breeder. He cares deeply for his dogs and puppies and they live the best of lives on his gorgeous property above Slocan Lake. Our puppy, Begbie stayed longer than the other puppies as we were away. Ian sent video updates and made sure Begbie was working on recall and other basic commands. We were delivered a super social and happy puppy with a very calm and loving disposition. Begbie is very well known in the dog circles in our town as he is so social. He is well loved by not just our family but the whole Neighbourhood!

When we went to visit the puppies we felt very welcome at the perfect puppy ranch! I would recommend Ian and his great dogs Willow, Soda, Cherry and now Taka if you are thinking about getting a golden retriever! This is our second golden from the Slocan valley, our first from Ian and I would say it was a great experience!

We brought home a beautiful, smart, playful Golden Retriever puppy and couldn’t be happier. Ian was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, making everything smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience with Ian from start to finish. From the very beginning, it was clear how much care, intention, and knowledge he puts into raising his dogs.

Murphy is my dog alone, and he has been an absolute dream of a puppy, incredibly sweet, calm, and so loving with people. He learns extremely quickly and has such a balanced, confident temperament, which I truly believe comes from the environment and early foundation Ian provided.

Ian was wonderful to work with throughout the process: communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in setting both the puppies and their new families up for success. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and I feel incredibly lucky to have Murphy.

I would highly recommend Ian to anyone looking for a well-bred, well-raised Golden Retriever.

Can’t say enough good things about the experience of getting a puppy from the perfect puppy ranch! Ian has a genuine love for what he does and it shows. After searching for breeders to find a golden retriever Ian stood out to us! He had great communication throughout the process and kept us updated with what was going on! Also it was evident that he cares deeply for his dogs and the puppy’s he raises! Upon delivery of our pup ( which he delivered to our door) Ian has been more than helpful with any questions we have had. Further more the parents of this litter (willow/mom) and (soda pop/ dad) are beautiful and well cared for! Our pup Emmi came to our door full of confidence and happy!

Thank you Ian

We recently got a golden retriever puppy, a male named Pluto from Ian. We are so impressed with this puppy. From day 1, he was house trained and had excellent recall when we went outside with him. We have 4 kids, and he’s a little rag doll, letting them all pick him up, move him around, hug him etc. He has so much patience for the kids already. We are so in love with his gentle nature and sweet face. Very grateful for the great experience!

Getting Maui from Ian at Perfect Puppy Ranch has been an incredible experience. He came from the Willow Soda litter, conceived on Valentine’s Day, born on Good Friday 2025, and came home to us on Father’s Day. The timing felt almost symbolic—like he was meant to be part of our family.

Ian was kind, professional, and clearly passionate about raising well-rounded pups. Maui came home already potty trained, and within just a few days he learned how to sit and lay down. He’s smart, loving, and adjusted to his new home right away.

It’s clear that Ian puts in the work early—Maui’s calm and curious nature shows he was raised in a safe, loving environment. Communication throughout the process was smooth, and Ian was always happy to answer questions or provide updates.

If you’re looking for a breeder who truly cares and produces amazing dogs, I can’t recommend Perfect Puppy Ranch enough. Thank you, Ian, for bringing Maui into our lives—he’s truly the perfect pup.

We recently got our beautiful Golden Retriever Bhairav from our dear friend Ian ferreira from the perfect puppy ranch and the experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The breeder was professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the breed. You can tell they care deeply about their dogs and raising them in a loving, healthy environment.

Our puppy came home happy, well-socialized, and with a clean bill of health. He has a sweet temperament, is incredibly intelligent, and adjusted to her new home seamlessly—clearly a testament to the care and early training he received.

We were also given detailed health records, feeding guidelines, and support for transitioning the pup to her new home. Ian is very approachable for any questions through text or whatzapp and is always available for questions and continues to check in to make sure everything is going well.

If you’re looking for a responsible and ethical Golden Retriever breeder who genuinely loves what they do, I couldn’t recommend Ian from the Perfect puppy ranch more highly. Our hearts (and home) are fuller because of them!

Excellent communication. Ian is a natural with dogs. Our puppy is well balanced and confident. Couldn't be happier.

Golden Retriever Breeder Extraordinaire, Ian Ferreria, of “Perfect Puppy Ranch” came to my attention after the loss of my beloved Golden Retriever, Wynnie. I googled Golden Retriever Breeders in BC & was so surprised to see his perfect puppy ranch location nearby to my family’s West Kootenay Cabin. Still, not ready for another dog friend as yet, I continued to follow his wonderful instagram videos 🎶documenting his amazingly loving & gentle alpha energy & homespun holistic puppy whelping/raising style. And his lovely familial bond with his own pack, Soda Pop & Willow & Auntie Cherry, in their paradisiacal mountainside retreat high above Slocan Lake.

This June 2025 I am so very lucky to welcome, my very own Golden Retriever perfect puppy from Willow & Soda Pop’s special April 18th litter, my Bertie boy, into my life. Joy.💝

We were fortunate enough to get the most beautiful little Retriever pup.

So very impressed at how the pups were introduced to this world.

Well fed, well balanced, very confident and exposed, gently to a range of experiences.

This has our own dog Nala confident, loving, wanting to explore, being very respectful to adult dogs, easily making new dog friends.

So very impressed at Ian's hard work to breed well balanced and healthy dogs.

We would recommend Ian's pups to anyone wanting a wonderful family friendly, happy pup.

Ian is an amazing breeder very knowledgeable when it comes to Golden Retrievers. I am new to owning a golden retriever very helpful with questions and concerns that I've had. It's also very nice that I can message anytime if I have questions about Golden Retrievers. My lucky is almost 4 months old he is an awesome puppy. I am so happy I got my puppy from Ian. Took a bit of adjusting at first but lucky has fit in right in with my family. Thank you again Ian for all your help and understanding with tips to do with lucky for potty training.

Highly recommend The Perfect Puppy Ranch. We are now owners to a beautiful Golden Retriever and couldn’t be happier with his behaviour, social skills and health. When following The Perfect Puppy Ranch, you will see the dogs and puppies are loved and treated as family. They enjoy lots of outdoors time exploring, socializing and receive exposure to skills like swimming and walking with a leash. Ian the owner, is always quick with communication and providing updates/pictures as your puppy grows. He will go above and beyond throughout the whole process and continues to keep in contact with us to see how our pup is doing.

We had such an amazing experience with Perfect Puppy Ranch! They are amazing people and we got 2 of their puppies and are SO happy. The dogs are such good temperament, fun and sweet and listen so well for puppies. We are so thankful we found them. Highly recommend

Ian has been incredibly helpful, supportive and kind throughout the whole process of us getting a puppy. He is prompt in communication, offers lots of advice, and we love the videos of all his dogs and puppies and the amazing relationship he has with all his dogs. We are super excited to have Emmy and she is such a beautiful and smart puppy! Thank you Ian!

Our experience with Ian was amazing and we’d recommend using his service anytime. Communication was great, he delivered on his promise and although we haven’t yet, we know that we can count on him for future advice or help. He really knows and cares about his dogs and it shows

I am so pleased to have Bullit in my life! I have very limited experience with puppies and have been finding Bullit to be extremely easy to handle and train. He is a joy to have around and is so friendly with everyone he meets. Thank you Ian for getting him started on the right foot for me!

We had a wonderful experience adopting our first Golden from Ian. You can tell he really cares about his dogs and they are very well adjusted by the time they reach their families. We made a trip out to meet the puppies when they were about 5 weeks old and Ian could not have been more welcoming. We never felt rushed and took all the time we wanted with the puppies. We even got to take a couple for a short walk to the creek that runs through the property.

You can tell that Ian does this because it’s his passion, driving all over western Canada making deliveries to drop these little bundles with their new families.

Oakley was an instant shot of love into our family and there is nothing like an excited Golden to greet you in the morning!

I would not hesitate to send anyone to Ian for the next fluffy member of their family.

The beautiful puppy we got from Ian and his family at The Perfect Puppy Ranch has been loving, friendly, intelligent and trainable. It’s obvious many hours of care and training from Ian have made these pups exceptional

My partner and I adopted a 1 year old golden retriever from Ian. Jinnie was the perfect puppy for us and our life style however the timing was not as perfect as I’d hoped. Ian was completely supportive through the whole process and kept her for an extra two weeks to ensure we were all set up to be successful. Throughout the drawn out adoption process we chatted on the phone multiple times and he sent me photos and videos. When I finally met Ian it was obvious that all his dogs are brought up with both incredible structure and a surplus of love. We could not be happier with our dog or her origins. I definitely recommend “PerfectPuppy Ranch” to families looking for a beautiful puppy with a solid foundation.

Ian is so kind snd excellent with his dogs no wonder they are “Perfect”! I am in

Absolute awe of my darling Goldendoodle puppy! He is so sweet and eager to please me! He’s already following basic commands and slept his very first night in his wire crate without a whimper! He comes when i call him and is very gentleñ with my cats! Thanks for every thing !

My husband and I adopted Ziggy from Ian when he was four months old. Ian was kind enough to drive down to Vancouver to bring Ziggy to us. Ziggy is sweet and loving, and a perfect puppy! We are super happy!

Madeleine and I are so happy with our new addition to family.  Brie, formerly Tina. A perfect beautiful Golden Doodle.  You can tell after meeting Ian that he is deeply committed to his dogs and it shows.  Brie is very smart, loves the water and has terrific recall.  Thanks , Ian.

We stumbled on Ian's ad, after giving up on finding the right dog for us. Ian just happened to be coming into Vancouver the very next day and he brought his puppies over to visit. The next day, we welcomed Moka into our home. She is calm and well-trained and has been a lovely addition to our home. Ian was helpful and insightful, and we are so grateful for his acumen. He has a special way with dogs and you can tell that he loves each and every one and is looking for the right home for each of them.

Nashville (formerly Simon) is now 16 weeks old and 30 lbs. Me and my husband take him to puppy kindergarten every weekend and he is by far the most well-behaved puppy there. The instructor is constantly impressed by Nashville's temperament and we have heard the same from complete strangers many times. Nashville is from Annie (english cream golden retriever) and Levi's (standard poodle) litter and seems to have inherited the english cream coat from Annie. I like that his coat is different from most golden doodles in terms of colour and texture. Nashville's coat is light cream and has loose waves as opposed to the brown/golden tighter curls you normally see with doodles.

In terms of training, Nashville is able to sleep thru the night (up to 11 hours although we have not tried 12) in his crate. During the day, he can hold for 8 hours in the crate. When playing in the house, he can last about 1-2 hours before needing a bathroom break. There has been the occasional accident but these are some impressive numbers for a puppy. Nashville is a fast learner. Right now he can sit and has near-perfect recall (even despite the name change). We are working on "down" currently.

We are first time puppy owners and the learning curve was steep, but we're very lucky to have ended up with such a calm, well-mannered, intelligent, and healthy puppy. Thanks Ian.

March 25th Harop BC

Our family recently brought home our furry friend from Ian at Perfect Puppy Ranch and we couldn't be more happy with the process! A few months back we were casually looking for a puppy and stumbled across Ian online. He was really great with sending updates and photos of the puppies so we could track their growth and progress. Ian was accommodating and knowledgable and we could tell from the get go the love, patience and training that he puts into his puppies. Our puppy is really special! Lovely temperament and incredibly well socialised. We couldn't be more happy with our puppy and our full experience with Ian. Thanks, Ian!

At first I was hesitant from the Kijiji ad, not seeing many pictures or any reviews but I can assure you Ian is a excellent owner and breeder. We were fortunate he drove to us and we got to meet the 11?! puppies. Several people at the dog park were amazed to to see 6-10 wk puppies all calm , social , happy and listening to Ian. They all appear healthy, good weight, nice coats and very social with other dogs which was a great sign. At ten weeks Teddy has adjusted nicely , eager and happy to meet all the neighbours and kids, good temperament, on walks he is wanting to meet every dog no matter the size , very social. We are working on 'potty' training and commands but he is already starting to sit on command (day 2)

Overall very positive experience getting our first dog with Ian, Ian was not rushed and shared alot of doggy knowledge with us and responds with any text questions. When we met all the dogs Ian did say Teddy might be the best fit for us and he was right ! Teddy choose us and Ian called all the dogs and they all followed Teddy stayed with us and felt like he choose us too :)

Lastly Teddy is so adorable, we are so in love !

We got lucky enough to have Phoebe join our family two days ago and she has been an absolute pleasure. So calm, already a good listener who knows her name is so very eager to play. Tons of fun and super gentle with my 5 year old. We can no believe how well she has already adjusted. If you are looking for a puppy you could not do better than Perfect Puppy Ranch. I've mainly talked about Phoebe but Ian was excellent to deal with and it is clear how much he cares about the pups and raises them with love.

Ian is a very caring breeder. It was clear from the moment that we got Minty, she was taken care of with excellence. She is happy, healthy, well mannered, and gentle. We could not be happier with how she has turned out so far. Ian was helpful and accommodating with getting the puppy in our hands. It is clear that Ian cares for his dogs and wants to see them do well in good homes. If we could adopt more puppies, this would be where we would get them. Highly recommend.

We love our new puppy. It has been a wonderful experience dealing with Ian and getting our new family member from him  two days ago.

Ian has been a wonderful resource through the process, as we moved from interested shopper to a happy customer.

We chatted as well with Ian’s  vet who was impressed with the health of all the puppies. She  gave the litter a five star rating. Ian’s love of breeding heathy dogs was super obvious.

Even in such a short time Chastity  is adjusting to us.

Ian works hard at socializing his puppies and the few encounters we have had with other dogs have been great. Thanks Ian. Super glad we found you. All the best with this and future litters. I will recommend you to my friends. Please keep me updated on your future litters.

We recently adopted a female Standard Poodle puppy from Ian at Perfect Puppy Ranch in Silverton BC. She is a smart, healthy and beautifully socialized little girl. Ian's puppies are raised with access to hills and forests and are part of a very stabe pack. Therefore, our little girl easily integrated into our busy home that includes many humans, an elderly terrier, Border collie, 3 cats and several horses. At our puppies 2nd visit to the vet, she remarked how impressed she is at the conformation, health and temperment of our puppy. Thank you Ian for your clear and thoughtful communication, sharing your time so that we could get to know the puppies and for raising such wonderful companions.

"We belive our boy Muggins was just meant to be! Ian drove him to Vancouver and Mugs settled into our family in a couplde of days. He has always seemed to be a nicely grounded, well socialized pup. Super smart, affectionate and handsome too. What a catch! It helps that Ian has been accessible when we have questions. He is committed to his dogs."

I recently purchased a standard poodle from Ian, and I must say that the experience was fantastic. From the very beginning, Ian was very helpful and knowledgeable about the breed. He answered all my questions and concerns with patience and provided me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision.

The poodle I received from Ian is beautiful, healthy, and well-socialized. It was obvious from the moment I met the puppy that Ian had put a lot of time and effort into ensuring that it was well taken care of and prepared for its new home. The puppy was confident, playful, and already had some basic training under its belt.

Ian's facilities were immaculate, and he clearly takes great pride in his breeding program. He was very transparent about the puppy's health history and provided me with all the necessary paperwork, including vet records and AKC registration.

Overall, I had an excellent experience with Ian, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a high-quality standard poodle breeder. His passion for the breed and dedication to producing healthy and well-socialized puppies is truly impressive, and I feel lucky to have found him.

We were lucky to come across Ian's add and Tank, now named 2Pac, to our family. He's a sweetheart of a dog , though sometimes he forgets that he is not 10 pounds anymore. It is obvious that Ian loves the dogs and putting them in the right home with the right family is most important to him. I would highly recommenc Ian to anyone.

Thank you Ian for raising our beautiful Nova girl. She was clearly raised with thoughtfulness and love. From day one we knew she would be a perfect fit and we weren’t wrong. Bringing Nova home was a joy, as she is a happy, loved, and emotionally balanced puppy. She has become a special part of our family. We were especially impressed with her temperament, as was our vet, who said she has a perfect balance in temperament. This is a testament to a good start. You won’t regret investing in one of these beautiful puppies.

"Loving her to the moon and beyond!!!  She is happily sleeping in her bed after a long day or I would snap another pic. (Is there such a thing as too many photos?!)

Most beautiful babies ever!!! Ian is an amazing caregiver, Dakota is a beautiful and strong mama, and these are just the happiest babies. As you know, thank you again!! To anyone wanting to add a precious one to their family for life, these are the ones"

We were fortunate in living relatively close to where we could visit with Ian and view the litter.    We were able to spent an unhurried 2 hours with Ian, the parents of the litter - Fisher and Dakota and the litter of puppies.  The location was special, on the side of a mountain with lots of space and a unique puppy enclosure in a cabin with the best possible heat source, a wood stove.

Our pick of the pups was one of the smaller females, initially known to us as little green girl after the puppy I/D collar she wore and finally known as Riley.

A big plus for the experience was thanks to Ian’s skill as a photographer and videographer, filling the dog’s Facebook page with almost daily updates of their growth.   This let us share a little in their daily lives until we were eventually able to pick up Riley at 2 months.

Riley hasn't lost her love of wood heat, here's one of her in the best seat in the house.

We are all head over heels in love with Shasta.  She is doing beautifully.  Loves her walks! My husband and I are always home so she gets lots of attention and playtime.  She is full of energy, has such a fun and friendly personality and is the world’s best snuggler.  We couldn’t be happier ❤️🐾. Thanks again!
